  • My thoughts and musings
I'm glad you're here. Finding a therapist is never easy, and sometimes we need a little push to acknowledge when we need extra help. Through Advocate Counseling, my practice specializes in helping adults and adolescents deal with issues of sexuality, coming out, relationships, faith/religion, anxiety, depression and abuse.

Whatever you have struggled through, it's okay to want something different in your life. Whether you have experienced success or continue to grapple with internal conflict, we can find a better balance.

My Approach

It is my belief and my experience that past and present relationships play a big role in the conflict, pain, and anguish we experience in life. This includes family relationships. In our work together, we will look closely at those relationships as well as current relationships and patterns you may notice that have come up.

As a therapist, I do more than sit and listen. We do this work together. Our exploration will not always be easy, but it will be important. Your life is important.

During our sessions, I will challenge you and ask questions that might be uncomfortable. Outside of our sessions, just pay attention to what comes up. Be curious, ask questions. Above all, be kind to yourself. I believe that by doing these things, we can find the change you are seeking.
